I’m mother to three beautiful girls and wife of one amazing husband. They are my life!
I’ve known my whole life I was meant to be in the medical field and the role I play therein continues to evolve. I am currently an ER nurse in Dallas, Texas and I’m in school full time to become an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
I have also known my whole life that I was supposed to be involved in ministry in one way or another. I was unsure of the exact calling on my life, but I remember telling God when I was about 12 years old, “God, I’ll follow you forever, and I will do anything you ask me to do, but please don’t make me go to Africa!”
And now here I am so many years later with a burning desire to go to Africa to use the talents and abilities God has blessed me with to reach “the least of these”. I love my Jesus and try to live my life to be a reflection of His love, hope, and grace. Without Him, I am nothing!
“‘For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me’…The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” Matthew 25: 35,40
